CORAL DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN
Coral days are here again.
The blood red gauge is softened,
the cacophony of traffic …
dampened … and …
the dirt is swept …
out of sight.
What was bad, what was feared,
is wallpapered … right over.
The bizzare, and the downright weird,
given soft light …
the impending …
is re-timed.
Coral coloured spectacles
tinted the pink … of roses …
spread thinly over the masses
via TV …
while what passes …
stays unseen.
Stay put. Stay right where you are.
Your’s is to earn the Dollar;
give all your blood … for the soldier …
and the Banker …
Down-trod classes …
paying fees.
Bow down … genuflect the knees.
Exchange your pleasure … for guilt.
Tremble before your elected …
you know … your place!
But look upward …
there are stars!
Coral days are here again.

Goodness Allen – this is enigmatic! I’ve read it several times and like it, but I don’t know why – and that is odd. I’ll let it sink in some more – maybe then?

Another masterpiece, what should I say I cannot think after reading it, it is so damn good. I really liked this poem Allen, it is a tremendous piece of writing and knew of the great ones by you. I already passed your articles In my groups and everyone there was so impressed and everyone really liked them a lot, there are some who regularly read your writings just like me on your site. You are doing a great job and I think you are one the best content writers among those whom I follow.
