Watching Snowfall – by Chaucer Wethers

EDITOR'S INTRODUCTION I came across this poem on PoetBay.com where the author is pretty prolific. It is the simplicity of it which appeals to me. I can see a 'she' who loves moonlight and snowflakes falling, looking through a window, in the dark, at the whitening scene outside. When you are lucky enough to be warm and comfortable doing that - looking out - it can be very pleasing. The editorial team on PoetBay also gave recognition to this poem this by featuring it on their front page. WATCHING SNOWFALL She loves the moonlight and watching snowfall from the sky. It is late at night and only one soul knows of why Stars like paper burning bright Colors flaring moments passing bye Embers warm her quiet delight When a morning cold wakes in her eye And only one soul knows of why It is late at night. She loves the moonlight and watching snowfall from the sky * * * * * * * © Chaucer Wethers 2022/3
